New Game - FlipIt Paper Combat!

Here is an interesting new DIY papercraft wargame that just started up recently, called Flipit Paper Combat! Created by James Bowen.

It uses tabletop wargame rules, its free and all you need is a colour printer to print out the miniatures, then cut out and glued.

The papercraft miniatures and prop artworks have that funky vinyl urban-toy style too!

Here is the link to the game's official website: http://www.flipitpapercombat.com

After abit of of printing, cutting and gluing... here is my small but growing Blue Falcon army!

Welcome to DIY Wargaming!

Welcome!

Just a quick background to this blog.

A few old-time wargaming friends and toy collectors (all working adults, with families and kids) have been thinking of getting back into some "old-skool" wargames, taking a break from the usual online RTS games.

One thing that struck us immediately was how expensive the new tabletop wargame sets, miniatures and tools have become... it can now cost hundreds (easily thousands) to really get into such games nowadays, not including all the time and effort required to paint up the miniatures and props.

Time is perhaps something that most working adults can't spare as much just for game preparation, most of us would prefer to get started up quickly and just get together to have a fun evening of wargaming!

So i decided to find cheaper and faster wargaming alternatives.

This site will share information on various interesting DIY Wargame systems, along with some of my DIY tabletop miniature wargaming projects.

Enjoy! :)
